Throughout the second semester of the 2021-22 school year, Clement learned how to use programs such as InDesign and Photoshop in order to help the production of the Newsmagazine. "I really enjoyed getting to design the variety section for Issue 3 because I was able to test my creativity and play with the how the spreads look," Clement said. "For Quest for Athens Best, I followed an existing layout, but I got to come up with the graphics, cut out the barbecue sandwiches in Photoshop, and pick the color pallet." Photo by Isaac Ramirez

For the past four years, Clement has submitted pieces for contests and appreciates the recognition for the program. "Submitting awards is one of my favorite things to do because I love seeing people get acknowledged for all of their hard work. Every time someone wins something, I feel so happy for them because I know they deserve it," Clement said. "It felt really good to win an award of my own, but I think the award to everyone on staff since we all contributed to social media." Photo by Lucas Donnelly
